EAA Chapter 1167

Old Business:

• Planning for the Fall Fly-in:

  • Our Fly-in is November 2^nd from 7a to 2:30p

  • Need to publicize the Young Eagles activity going on at the fly-in.

  • Need two volunteers to keep the Young Eagles safe and organized.

  • Please bring your unfinished aircraft to the Tri-Motor event and the Fly-in.

  • We need folding chairs for the Fly-in, please send an email / call if you have a source.

  • Looking to get a firm commitment from the car club to attend the Fly-in.

  • Deanna Scott has volunteered to make the potato salad and slaw for the Fly-in.

  • Volunteer to make the baked beans on the morning of event?

New Business:

• Trimotor is coming to town.

  • They have $1500 in funds already and approval for fuel discount.

  • Need 4 to 5 volunteers each day to keep things safe and organized.

  • Discussing ways to advertise the event – suggestion was to give away free BBQ dinners and/or free Trimotor flights @ $75 per on talk radio stations.

  • Will need Chapter flyers and applications for membership there at the event.

  • Also need to bring a Young Eagles signup sheet. The Young Eagles flying will be at our Fly-in but they can sign up for the flight at the Trimotor event.

• Christmas party time already!

  • Planning for the first part of December @ Mangos. Price to be $25 per person, payable in advance so that we can reserve and commit to the meeting room way ahead of time.
